Notes for Madison Tucker:
Volunteered in Confederate Army in 1863 and served in Company B, Regiment 2, Georgia Volunteer Infantry. Cumming's Brigade.
Wounded in Battle of Jonesboro and lost three fingers.
Discharged in August 1864. Filed for pension.
Family first lived on a farm on South River. Later moved to more central location in the county, now know as Tucker's Mill. They farmed and operated a profitable grits mill.
